Ideation
Refinement

The ring idea was chosen because it is an accessory that can be worn at all times and can be convenient for use when needed. It also can double as a fun piece to wear.

Deliverables

The sanitary ring can be worn/used at all times.

The ring will have a pointer to touch buttons for you.

The contact point of the ring will not be exposed 100% of the time.

The ring will be durable.

Prototyping Process

Made of 3D printed parts.

The first ring was too bulky and uncomfortable. I edited and refined the shape so it was a smaller profile and could fit more comfortably on the hand.

Problems

  • The pointer was hard to eject while wearing the ring.

  • The ring still felt too bulky.

  • The shape did not sit properly on the finger.

More Refinement

Finding the right shape that fits comfortably on top of the finger, and having an easy access pointer was tough to find and multiple 3D prints were made to find the right shape.
